No recognition

Dear F@W,
My boss never recognizes my hard work and I’m getting real pissed off. It’s not like I’m expecting some big pay raise or even a hero-cookie. All I’d like is an occasional thank-you – is that too much to ask? Last week I mentioned it to her and you know what her response was? “I don’t like to make people big-headed.” I felt like telling her to quit worrying about making my head big and start worrying about how I was going to make her head roll. I don’t need her to kiss my ass, but why can’t she just tell me when I do a good job? How can I feel some love?
